psp 4.01 beta update
Thu May 08, 2008 8:06 pm by Anonymous
It should work on a slim running on 3.90 or higher. it doesnt work on phat i tried it. if it does work on slim please tell me because the features sound soooo awesome.

well i was browsing the net and i found this:

Firmware 4.01 Download
Official PSP Update ver4.01 beta is now available for download in the Download Section.
INFO:

You must have PSP Firmware 3.90 with an activated SCEA® or SCEJ® beta testing account or beta 2009 PSP model or when you boot it up, it will NOT let you update right. Regular PSP's will just run regularly but say that the file is "Corrupt" after loading it up. On some PSP's it says 3.93. This is to fool any "unwanted" beta testers that hack into the SCE®'s servers. The download was only available by EMAIL in the PLAYSTATION®Network Downloader format ".xpd" but was converted using one of the all famous "N00bz" programs; capable of converting nearly ANY file PSP-related.

Update at your own risk.

The update will include the following (not including the updates from 3.90-3.95)

* PLAYSTATION 3 Network titles can be played under PSP [Remote Play] under Game. The PSP is then used as a monitor for any game playable in Playstation 3 game console.

*Real, Quicktime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported. Real, Quicktime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported.

*PSP web browser has been updated to allow compatibility with current websites.

*[Adobe Flash Player 9] has been added as a feature, using the Memory Stick Pro Duo as flash memory.

To download, go to the top right and click "Download Section" and find 4.01 download.
